Most of us spend the daylight hours without doing intense physical activity. Our bodies are used less and we work mainly giving more space to the intellectual activities. Meanwhile, increasing mental activity and eventually brought tension, emerges as a factor which complicates to sleep
However, When patients are examined at sleep laboratory after a day spent in nature, it is determined that; their deep slow sleep rate was increased compared to other nights.
Performing physical activities in certain days of the week; such as walking, jogging, playin tenni or swim etc. prepares us for a good sleep. However, heavy physical activity such as heavy gymnastic activities –especially the activities which stimulate the autonomic nervous system – are not recommended before sleeping or late hours at night; because they disruptf the quality of sleep.
